2007 saw Pinkeye Graphics making its mark at a major mainland web design award. Four of Pinkeye Graphics' clients had websites nominated for the Hantsweb Awards 2007. Those sites were

• Naturenet,
• Matt and Cat's Isle of Wight Eating Out Guide,
• Stephen Brown Advanced Driving Instructor
• Isle of Wight Hedgerow Group.

Two of those sites, Naturenet and Isle of Wight Hedgerow Group went on to be shortlisted, and Naturenet was a finalist; one of only two Isle of Wight websites on the entire finalists list.

The judges said:

"This website covers a huge amount of information on nature conservation, it is easy to use and has obviously undergone a considerable amount of development in the 11 years it has been on the web, suitable for all ages with an interesting blog, again excellent links to lots of rural websites." Malcolm Crabtree, Judge.

So, what was the result? Sadly Naturenet was not the overall winner this year... but we'll be back in 2008!

Pinkeye Graphics was approached by a local business to create a website and business stationary for a new enterprise. Steve Brown is a registered driving instructor, and like most in his trade, has many young clients who are familiar with using the web. He needed a simple but effective website that would attract new clients and give information to existing customers. Because Steve needs to keep his prices up-to-date, Pinkeye Graphics also designed a custom web interface for Steve to change his online prices himself, at any time; and gave Steve full training in using it.
